Nor’easter brings blizzard warning to NH Seacoast; how much snow to expect

snowstorm warning This applies to the Seacoast as a powerful Nor’easter hits New England from Sunday, February 22nd through Tuesday.
The warning will be in effect along the Rockingham County coast from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, with the possibility of 10 to 14 inches of snowfall and wind gusts up to 50 mph. National Weather Service.
“Visibility may be reduced to less than 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Strong winds and the weight of snow on tree branches can disable power lines and cause occasional power outages,” the warning said. “Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel hazardous and potentially life-threatening. There is the potential for snow bands that will bring locally heavy snowfall, resulting in rapid snow accumulation and extremely hazardous travel conditions. Heavy wet snow will weigh down tree branches, leading to broken branches, downed trees and a high threat of power outages.”
