‘Not moral’: Martin Lewis takes student loan swipe at Rachel Reeves | News

Martin Lewis has issued a harsh message to Chancellor Rachel Reeves over her decision to freeze the student debt repayment threshold.

In the Chancellor’s budget in November, it was announced that the salary at which graduates must begin repaying their schedule 2 student loans will be frozen at £29,385 for three years from April 2027.

The National Union of Students (NUS) has warned that a three-year freeze could leave new graduates struggling to pay rent, food and bills.
