Novo Nordisk layoffs: Pharma major notifies employees impacted by 9,000 job cuts amid restructuring drive

Layoffs at Novo Nordisk: Mike Doustdar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Denmark-based pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk, said on Friday, October 31, 2025, that the company informed its employees affected by layoffs in most locations as part of the company-wide restructuring move.

Mike Doustdar also said that the speed of notifications may vary due to the impact of local laws, but the company aims to work with transparency and respect.

“We have now notified our affected colleagues in the majority of our geographies, but this varies depending on differences in local laws. We have always sought to act with transparency and respect in all our interactions,” Mike Doustdar said in a post on Friday.
