Starmer aide resigns after explicit texts about Abbott surface

Paul Ovenden, the senior of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, resigned after aggressive and sexual short messages emerged, which told a speech about Diane Abbott.
The messages were reported in the Daily Mail and it was understood that it was a part of the online private conversation eight years ago.
In a statement to ITV News, Mr. Ovenden said, “I really apologize for that, and the pain it will cause.”
A spokesman for the Prime Minister “Terrible and unacceptable” messages, “the first black woman chosen to the parliament, Diane Abbott, a trailblazer, who faced a terrible abuse throughout his political career.”
“Such comments have no place in our politics.”
Mr. Ovenden was the political strategy director of Sir Keir, and it seems that the messages were made when the press officer was a press officer for the Labor Party.
They convey a story from a party where their colleagues make clear promises about Abbott.
Abbott is a female deputy for the longest time in Parliament, representing the Hackney North and Stoke Newington election zone since 1987.
For most of the Parliamentary career, he became a worker deputy, but early this year Sushed From the Parliamentary Labor Party for his comments about racism.
Mr. Ovenden said in his testimony: “I am accused of a young press officer who shared the details of a stupid conversation with a female colleague with a female colleague eight years ago.
“Before the summer, I announced my intention to leave some of my colleagues.
“Even though my relationship with the current employment and the prime minister dates back to a long time, I put forward my resignation to avoid getting away from going away from the vital work that this government has done to change people’s lives in a positive way.
“My duty as a consultant is to protect the reputation of the Prime Minister and the Government.
“Even though it is creepy for a special conversation almost a decade ago to cause such damage, I am really sad and the damage it will cause.”
