Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth had little success in getting media outlets to agree to the Pentagon’s new reporting requirements.

Hegseth attributes the Pentagon’s press credentials to a commitment from media organizations that they will not use or receive information from the Department of Defense without permission. Reporters at the Pentagon will also need to be accompanied by Defense Department officials for access to certain areas of the building.

Media organizations have until 5pm on Tuesday to log in or submit credentials within 24 hours.
