NSW Government unveils New Housing Pattern Book amid Sydney pinch with designs for just $1

The new face of Sydney’s terraces and town houses appeared as the state government opened the design book for home builders only for $ 1.
The NSW Labor Government’s new housing pattern book Wednesday morning will be released with eight terraces, Townhouse and Manor House designs.
Designs for families, couples and shrinkage were approved by the government architect after the 2024 design competition.
During the first six months, a typical $ 20,000 price tag for an architecturally designed home, which will be available for $ 1 for the designs for $ 1000.
Prime Minister Chris Minns, the government’s pattern book, “more options, faster approval and affordable, high -quality houses,” he said.
“Be a young man trying to get in, or a family that needs more space, or a disdainers who want to stay close to the community you know,” he said.
“This is a practical step to make the housing system more fair – and make sure that NSW is a place where the next generation can live and develop.”
Planning Minister Paul Scully said that the government has accelerated the designs that the government describes as “simple and cost -effective”.
“The NSW housing pattern book is getting the delay of estimates and home construction,” he said.

“These designs are high quality, easy to build and cost 1 dollar for the first six months.
“These designs make it easier to build houses in NSW with less complexity.”
The housing continued to be the biggest cost of life pressure in NSW and losing twice as much young people as the productivity commission found Sydney.
The designs in the book can be adapted to different family dimensions and housing needs, including different room formations and arrangements.
Each design will be accompanied by a free landscape model to help new homeowners design their own gardens.
A new way of approval will be applied to the quick creation of design-book houses that will be subject to an advertising campaign.

Michael Howard, CEO of Bunnings, said that the design book would need to support the construction sector in NSW and increase the supply.
“Bunnings is ready to help builders, developers and homeowners to realize these architect houses,” Howard said.
The design book comes as the minns government continues to face pressure on the residence after the failure of the Rosehill Hippodrome sales.
The project established 25,000 new houses and a subway station on the site, but was shot by members of the Australian grass club.
Mr. Minns focused on the new housing developments near the CBD and did not officially introduce the “plan B ın of the state government after the unsuccessful sale.
As part of the state budget, the government announced that it will be a guarantor for developers who follow NSW low and middle -storey houses.
