Gabriel Barron: Dogs brutally maul teen, 16, to death while he was fishing

The society was devastated after a 16-year-old boy was mauled to death by a group of dogs while fishing.
Gabriel Barron was apparently fishing in a private pond on his family’s property in Daleville, Alabama, when the terrifying incident unfolded on February 19.
Six bulldogs, believed to belong to Gabriel’s neighbor, suddenly began attacking him, injuring him so badly that he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Accordingly WDHNGabriel’s neighbor, 42-year-old Thomas Sutton, was arrested days later on Feb. 22 by Dale County police.
Although police confirmed the dogs involved in the attack belonged to Mr Sutton, he was charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said the investigation into Gabriel’s death is ongoing and charges related to the attack are possible.
Tributes are flowing for the teenager who had a “big heart,” according to the obituary published by Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home.
“Gabriel had a big heart and a kind demeanor. He was the kind of person who could make others laugh effortlessly, and he had a natural warmth that made people feel comfortable around him,” the obituary said.
“His family and friends meant everything to him, and he carried those connections close to him.”
Gabriel loved the outdoors and fishing was one of his favorite pastimes because he “enjoyed the simple peace of being near the water”.
Gabriel’s family had already suffered significant losses before his death. He lost his brother Josh Bushey and sister Dana Nevaeh Allen.
It comes after a woman was mauled to death by a stray dog after trying to protect her own pet from harm.
Police found 38-year-old Barbara Brewington dead in the backyard of her North Carolina home on November 23.
The mother of three children was seriously injured as a result of a brutal attack by a mixed breed stray dog she had been taking care of since May.
Sampson County Sheriff Jimmy Thornton said Ms. Brewington also had her own small pet dog and “for one reason or another the little dog got out.”
He was home alone at the time of the attack.
“He was trying to separate the stray dog from his pet. And apparently the dog became extremely aggressive and attacked him,” Mr Thornton said. People.
Mrs Brewington managed to rescue her little dog and get him into her home, but unfortunately he was so seriously injured that he died at the scene.
The stray dog was euthanized at the home on North Peavine Road later that day.
