Nvidia’s CEO Says It Has US Approval To Sell Its H20 AI Computer Chips In China

Beijing (AP) – Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, said the technology giant has gained approval from Trump administration to sell advanced H20 artificial intelligence computer chips to China.
The news arrived late on Monday on a company blog, and Huang spoke in the statements shown in China’s CGTN television network.
“The US government made sure that licenses will be given to NVIDIA, and Nvidia hopes to start delivery soon,” he said.
Huang recently met with Trump and other US policy makers, and this week in Beijing to see the authorities there.
Huang, in his statement to Journalists in Beijing, said, “Today, I am announcing that the US government has approved licenses to start sending H20s,” he said. He said that half of the world AI researchers are in China.
“In China is so innovative and dynamic that American companies are able to compete in China and serve in the market,” he said.
The White House announced in April that Nvidia’s H20 chips and AMD’s MI308 chips will restrict their sales to China.
