Pastor Cory Brooks, founder of Project HOOD, told Fox News Digital that his heart was “broken” as he condemned the crowd’s filming of the attack rather than intervening.
“A 15-year-old boy was captured, beaten, and shot to death in cold blood,” Brooks wrote. “On the playground. Where laughter belongs. Not execution.”

NYPD is asking anyone with information regarding the shooting of Jaden Pierre to contact them using the Crime Stoppers hotline. (Peter Gerber)
The statement continued: “The crowd did not rush to help. They pulled out their phones, recorded each brutal moment, and cheered as if it were entertainment. This video not only documents a murder, it exposes a generation whose conscience is seared by moral darkness. These were our own children eating our own children.”
