Oasis ‘are in talks of a greatest hits album amid whispers of more UK shows’ as reunion tour wraps up

Oasis ended their blockbuster 41-date reunion tour by bowing in front of 60,000 roaring fans in São Paulo, Brazil, on Sunday night.
Almost immediately, speculation began about what the brothers might do next.
Ideas ranging from a new best-of album to possible stadium dates at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and a return to Knebworth are thought to have already been talked about behind the scenes.
Noel Gallagher had previously produced a compilation of post-2000 Oasis classics and B-sides, but the project was shelved after Liam rejected the idea.
He stated in an interview at Christmas 2023: ‘He wasn’t going to have it in the end, I don’t know why.’
According to reports, a revival of this album is one of several proposals being explored following the band’s hugely successful comeback.

Immediately afterward, speculation began as to what the brothers would do next, and it is thought that conversations were taking place behind the scenes.
An insider said the tour had exceeded expectations and the brothers planned to take some time off to ‘absorb’ the extent of what they had achieved.
To talk SunThe source said: ‘Noel and Liam will be taking a long break to work out the size of this tour.
‘Reuniting on stage was incredible for both of them and having guitarist Bonehead alongside them for recent shows was nothing short of extraordinary.’
They added: ‘They know what their fans want and if they decide to release a new greatest hits album or play more concerts they know the demand will be there.’
Discussions about a possible Etihad residency for next summer are thought to be floating, as well as offers for major festivals such as Coachella and Benicàssim.
On the contrary While there’s no concrete plan agreed, there’s no denying there’s still an appetite for more Oasis, and given how quickly and successfully the surprise reunion came together, it suggests there’s nothing left on the table.
Liam Gallagher also hinted he’s keen to keep the momentum going when he replied to a fan last week: ‘How can I survive if there’s no another tour next year? WE NEED MORE’.

Following the huge success of the tour, Liam hinted he was keen to keep the momentum going by replying to a fan about the fate of Oasis last week.

‘If it was all up to me you know we’d be touring until the day we die because it would be the best thing in the world but unfortunately it’s not like that’.
The Daily Mail has contacted Oasis’ representatives for comment.
News of their 2026 plans comes after the band briefly halted their shows in Brazil on Saturday to pay an emotional tribute to The Stone Roses star Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield.
The bassist died tragically on Thursday at the age of 63.
A photo of Gary singing Live Forever filled the entire screen behind the stage.
Frontman Liam was seen looking back at the photo and clapping as the song ended, and the image remained the same until the band launched into Rock ‘N’ Roll Star.
Both Oasis members were close to Gary and the musician’s last public appearance was when he and Liam attended boxer Ricky Hatton’s funeral on October 10.
It was learned that Gary collapsed and died at his home in Heaton Moor Stockport after suffering a seizure. Family sources say an ambulance was called but he could not be revived.
