Obamacare has failed and needs fixing through simple healthcare reforms

It’s time for all of us to admit what the American people already know: Obamacare has failed.
The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, created a system that enriched insurance companies and hospitals and deceived Americans. Obamacare didn’t let people keep their insurance plans or doctors, and families didn’t save money; So is the federal government. Families faced higher costs and healthcare that did not meet their needs.
I would like to tell you about a family with pre-existing health problems that comes to my mind when health is mentioned in our country. They grew up in public housing and rarely saw a doctor. One of the children had a hip problem. Their mother would travel 200 miles to a charity hospital to get him treated. This was my family growing up.
When I hear stories of families struggling to pay their premiums, putting off treatment because it is expensive, or splitting their medications in half so they last longer, I see the struggle my mother, my brother, and my family are going through. And I see a system that fails families like mine and continues to destroy the market for everyone else.
LONG-TIME OBAMACARE CRITIC SAYS THE TRUMP PLAN WILL NOT FIX THE PROGRAM’S FATAL Flaws
Obamacare is not affordable for many Americans, so it needs to be fixed in Congress. (Cyberguy.com)
Republicans and even Democrats agree: Obamacare hasn’t made health care more affordable. I want people to be able to get affordable, accessible health care and preserve the safety net for families that Obamacare was intended to be, which means we need to take action.
I know we can fix Obamacare. I am working with President Donald Trump and my colleagues on a bill that would make simple fixes to Obamacare that would help families get health care that fits their needs while also reducing costs. under me planWe are not replacing Obamacare; It’s not going anywhere. We protect Healthcare.gov and state exchanges, provide protection for individuals with pre-existing conditions, and no one will lose healthcare.
We simply add options and allow Americans to be consumers, making the choice that works best for them and their families. This means we stop funneling tax dollars to insurance companies, let people shop across state lines, and make health care more transparent so families can make informed decisions.
TRUMP’S ‘NEW’ HEALTH IDEA IS A BITTER PRESCRIPTION FOR WORKING AMERICANS
Currently, families can only purchase insurance plans sold in the state where they live. This doesn’t make any sense. If an insurance provider in Kansas offers a great plan, a family in Georgia should be able to purchase it. We are opening up the nationwide health insurance market by allowing states to opt for a system that allows sales across state borders; This drives innovation and competition to lower prices and create better options for families.
Just like shopping for clothes or groceries, you’re no longer limited to just the stores in your city; You have access to distant stores to find what you want instead of settling for what’s right in front of you. And again, we can and must do this while maintaining protections for those with pre-existing conditions so that everyone is treated fairly.

When we stop funneling tax revenues to insurance companies for subsidies and instead provide safety net support to families through the Trump Health Freedom Account (an HSA-style account), we put the decision-making power in the hands of families to choose the plan that best suits their needs. Americans will Always they will make a better choice for their families than the government will.
We then add transparency to healthcare by requiring public disclosure of agreed rates, costs, and cash prices for services provided in hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, and clinical laboratories. Families will be able to price in advance what it will cost them (health care menu) so they can make informed decisions and plan according to their needs.

We simply add options and allow Americans to be consumers, making the choice that works best for them and their families.
We have an opportunity to make simple changes that will make a world of difference to American families. We would change the Obamacare scenario, which left Americans with fewer choices, higher costs, and worse outcomes, to one that lowers costs, suits their needs, and promotes transparency and better outcomes. We need to get rid of the old ways Obamacare failed and turn it into a new, open program that gives Americans the ability to act like consumers, just like we do with everything else we buy.
Everyone knows Obamacare is a disaster. It’s time to fix this. We must stop politicians in Washington from making our health care decisions top-down and instead give Americans an open health care system where they have the freedom to get the care they need.
