Officials told to promote Union and State welfare schemes

Twenty Point Program Implementation Committee Chairman Lanka Dinakar on Saturday, February 07, 2026, asked the officials to ensure wide publicity of the welfare schemes implemented by the Union and State governments.

Mr. Dinakar, along with MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, TDP MP Kalisetti Appala Naidu, Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and Joint Collector S. Sedhu Madhavan inspected the ongoing development activities in Vizianagaram district on Saturday. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the per capita income of individuals will increase with the improvement of economic activities in the state.

He lauded the ‘Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin)’ —VB-G Ram G— scheme for increasing livelihood opportunities for villagers with various changes made in the previous MGNREGA scheme. He said employment is guaranteed for 125 days under the new scheme and he hopes more workers in the region will benefit from the new scheme.

“Vikasit Bharat and Swarna Andhra targets had to be achieved by implementation of all welfare programs and developmental activities in letter and spirit by the administration. Authorities need to focus on Jal Jeevan Mission, Chief Minister Surya Ghar, National Health Mission and other programmes,” Mr. Dinakar said. He asked the officials to emphasize that Talliki Vandanam, Samagra Siksha and other schemes are being implemented effectively.
