During the election campaign, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The political reporter, who allegedly had a romantic relationship with her, talks about what happened between them.
Olivia Nuzzi, a journalist fired by New York Magazine last year for explosive revelations, spoke to The New York Times ahead of the release of her book “American Canto,” which discusses her “love” for Kennedy, who was a presidential candidate before supporting President Donald Trump and joining his administration as secretary of Health and Human Services.
“Olivia Nuzzi loved him… He loved her ‘flaming blue’ eyes. He loved how ‘the sight of something as insignificant as a rose’ could move her to tears. He loved her insatiable appetites, her ‘special complications and special darkness.'” The Times profile to start.
“But he only said ‘I love you’ after she said it the first time. He named her ‘Livvy’ and wrote his poems. He said he wanted her to have his baby. He promised he would shoot her for it.”

Nuzzi told the Times he offered campaign advice, including how to handle controversy over an incident in which Kennedy once left a bear carcass in Central Park.
He told the Times he had not spoken to Kennedy in more than a year and refused to interfere with his work in the Trump administration. “Maybe it’s the vaccines,” he joked about what happened to him.
A representative for Kennedy did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. A spokesman had previously denied that any physical relationship had occurred and said he had only met Nuzzi once.

Nuzzi, 32, said he first met Kennedy, 71, in late 2023, when he was pitching his independent bid for the White House. He maintained that he never had a physical relationship with her but had “personal” contact. Kennedy remains married to actress Cheryl Hines.
The alleged “sex” scandal led to the end of Nuzzi’s relationship with Ryan Lizza, Politico’s chief Washington correspondent and co-author of Playbook at the time, who has since left the publication.
New York Magazine dismissed Nuzzi following the revelations and conducted an investigation that concluded there was “no evidence of inaccuracy or bias” in his work.
In September, Vanity Fair announced it had hired Nuzzi as the magazine’s West Coast editor.
