However, the winner on the cinema side of the Globe nomination was studio Neon. The independent private film company has emerged as a dominant force in international releases, winning a string of Palme d’Or awards at the Cannes Film Festival. As of Monday, it earned 21 nominations, including five out of six international film nominations.
Some of those nominations came at the expense of some high-profile studio films. As the Globes continues to put its scandalous past behind, there’s a notable change this year. Globes awards best podcast for the first time.
