One dead, another seriously injured after house fire

One person died and another was seriously injured in a fire that broke out in the house in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called to Newbury Street in Werribee, south-west of Melbourne, following reports of the fire just after midnight.
Victoria Police said one resident died at the scene and another was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Fire Rescue Team Victoria said fire crews arrived at the scene within three minutes, by which time the tiled roof had completely burned down.
FRV said a 40-year-old man was being treated for burns.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the age of the deceased.
Police said the circumstances surrounding the fire are being investigated and an arson chemist will be on scene.
ABC reported that children were trapped inside the house, but some managed to get out.
