But that’s the only certainty you can get with the so-called King in the North. The sound you can hear getting louder and louder is the sound of Burnham tumbling towards Westminster. The wannabe leader has spent the past month making U-turns on everything from Brexit to allowing more immigrants in and whether men can use women’s toilets.
His return after a nine-year absence was made possible by 24,000 people voting for him in Makerfield.
It may soon decide the fate of 70 million people. No wonder so many people are worried.
The popular belief among some is that Burnham somehow single-handedly rebuilt Manchester during his time as Mayor, and that if he gets the keys to Number 10 he will do the same to the whole country.
So what would Burnham’s premiership be like? What is his opinion on Defense, Foreign Policy and Tax issues? Taxation – in other words, how much it will cost people – is a scary thought for most people.
Just as night follows day, Labor is always raising taxes. Burnham is unlikely to be any different and will need to quickly determine what she has planned.
