One year of Operation Sindhoor | PM Modi says Indian forces gave fitting response to terrorism

On the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the military operation reflects India’s determined response against terrorism and determination to safeguard national security.
India launched a military strike on nine targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7, 2025, in response to the terrorist attack on civilians in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025.
Taking it to X, PM Modi said: “A year ago, our armed forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and determination during Operation Sindoor. They gave a befitting response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians in Pahalgam. The entire nation salutes our forces for their bravery.”
“It also highlighted the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of our armed forces. It also demonstrated the growing cohesion between our forces and underlined the strength that India’s quest for self-reliance in the defense sector brings to our national security.”
Prime Minister Modi said India remains as resolute as ever in its resolve to defeat terrorism and “destroy the ecosystem that enables it”.
