Online marketplace Fiverr to lay off 30% of workforce in AI push

September 15 (Reuters) – In a statement on Monday, a spokesman for a company, when it doubles on artificial intelligence to automate systems and facilitate operations, Israeli -based Fiverr International left 30% of the labor force.

Cats that will affect 250 employees are part of a restructuring plan by Micha Kaufman, CEO of Fiverr, to invest in major investment in AI and include technology into the company’s platform.

The company had 762 employees since December last year.

“For Fiverrr, a modern AI -oriented technology infrastructure for Fiverrr, each, each with a significant larger productivity and much less management layer weaker, faster, faster, faster, we are starting a transformation to transform into a company.” He said.

Delivery reflects similar movements by larger technology firms such as Salesforce to automate artificial intelligence agents and customer service and logistics studies.

Although it is not clear what kind of jobs will be affected, FİRR is a self -service digital market business where free employees can connect with businesses or individuals that require digital services such as graphic design, editing or programming.

Most transactions, orders, delivery and payments on the platform automatically take place with minimum employee intervention.

The company’s name comes from most concerts starting from $ 5, but as the business grows, the company introduced subscription services and raised the bar for service prices.

Fiverr said that business cuts did not expect to significantly affect the business activities in the market in the near term and plans to re -invest some of the savings in the business.
