Trump, Melania Take NORAD Santa Calls, Praise ‘Clean’ Coal

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump spoke to scores of children on Christmas Eve; As Santa traveled around the world, he praised “clean, beautiful coal” and told a child that he “must be someone with a high IQ.”
The duo joined the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Santa Tracker hotline from the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Fla., where they asked children to meet St. They received calls about what they hoped Nick would bring them for Christmas.
One of the boys told Trump he wanted a Kindle, an e-reader designed and marketed by Amazon.

“That’s pretty good. You must be a high IQ person. We need more high IQ people in the country,” he replied.
An 8-year-old North Carolina girl asked if she would be upset if Santa didn’t leave her cookies.
“I think he won’t be angry, but he’ll be very disappointed,” Trump said. “Santa tends to be a little angelic.”
Trump asked a child in Kansas what they wanted Santa to bring.
“Hmm, not coal,” the boy replied.

“Not coal, no you don’t want coal. You’re talking about clean, beautiful coal. I had to do this, I’m sorry,” Trump said.
“No, coal is clean and beautiful. Please remember that at all costs,” he added. “But you don’t want nice, clean coal, do you? What do you want?”
Trump has frequently mentioned coal and the words “clean” and “beautiful” in his effort to increase coal use.
In a conversation with a child in Oklahoma, he said he was fond of the state where he won the 2024 presidential election.
“Santa loves you. Santa loves Oklahoma just like I do. You know, Oklahoma was so good to me in the election. That’s why I love Oklahoma. Never leave Oklahoma, okay?” he said.
In the same call, Trump talked about tracking Santa Claus.

“We follow Santa Claus all over the world… We want to make sure he doesn’t infiltrate, that a bad Santa doesn’t infiltrate our country,” he said. “We found out that Santa Claus is GOOD!”
