GM Bringing Back Chevy Camaro in 2027

Accordingly GM Official reportThe automaker has given the green light to bring back Chevy’s pony car, and it’s expected to arrive next year.
Perhaps most importantly, the returning Camaro won’t have an all-electric powertrain as often speculated, but will instead stick to its internal combustion roots. There are no additional details regarding which powertrain or powertrains will be offered.
By the end of the sixth generation, it could be offered with one of three options: a 3.6-liter V6 producing 335 horsepower, a 6.2-liter V8 LT1 producing 455 horsepower, or a 6.2-liter V8 LT4 producing 650 horsepower. But the company already offers an electric sports car in the form of the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport X, which attaches an electric motor to the front axle, boosting it to 721 horsepower. Before this, there was Corvette E-Ray, which also had a hybrid structure. It’s being pushed aside in favor of the Grand Sport X.
