Women’s Rugby World Cup: Maddie Feaunati on family and finding home

Feaunati, with 17 lids under his belt, says he learned from the number of numbers wearing his shirt every day.
32 -year -old Alex Matthews will play at the Fourth World Cup, former England captain Sarah Hunter is now the defense coach for Red Roses.
“I just chew it [Hunter’s] Every day the ear is closed, I’m not sure whether he likes it, but I’m just asking him a lot of questions, “Feaunati said.
“A lot and he has a lot of experiences. Alex is very clear to help me, which I just love, it’s really great.”
Unlike Hunter and Matthews, Feaunati did not feel the pain of Britain’s last record in World Cups. The UK lost five of the last six finals and tastes the last success in 2014.
He admits that the fact that he is about to play in the first World Cup is a ‘surreal’ moment, but he is a moment he took a step.
He said, “I was never going to go there,” he said.
“This was more of a target, I slowly began to mark. But Mitch [head coach Mitchell] He said these words, really ‘okay, I’m in now’.
“I just want to continue to be the player I’m in, I just continue to be fearless, what I really go after.
“We talked to the girls who won the 2014 One and they just want us to have this feeling. It would be very cool to do with this group of girls because it is a special group.”
When it comes to his family, who will fly from New Zealand to England for the World Cup, will there be a divided commitment about who they will support?
“They support 100% red roses,” he says, laughing. “My whole family is behind us all over the world.”
