Ottawa’s Ridly Greig delivers disgusting cheap shot in game 4 against Carolina

The Carolina Hurricanes were looking to hold off the Ottawa Senators on Saturday afternoon, and boy were the Sens not willing to go down without a fight.
Or in this case a very cheap shot.
The Senators are a team that has no problem mixing things up, and that could be a good skill set for the postseason. I mean, the Florida Panthers won back-to-back championships doing this.

But you have to make sure you don’t cross the line, and Senators forward Ridly Greig did just that.
NORTH CAROLINA GOVERNMENT CROSS-CHECKS DEVILS AFTER LOST TO THE RULES: ‘TOO GOOD FOR SUCH DIRTY GAME’
First, Greig played a role in turning up the intensity in Game 4 by running down Carolina netminder Frederik Andersen.
It’s a dunk, arguably a penalty, and while it’s not classy, it’s not outside the scope of what you’ll see in the playoffs; especially in a knockout game.
But that feud then flared up, and that’s when Greig made one of the dirtiest moves I think I’ve seen all season.
NFL ALL-PRO DEFENDER SEES ‘BOTH SIDES’ OF TREVOR LAWRENCE’S KICK: ‘HARD’
Things got completely out of control and Greig and teammate Warren Foegele contacted Carolina’s Sean Walker.
Foegele put Walker in a headlock and Greig was out of action, at least momentarily.
Because with Walker tied up, Greig delivered a vicious uppercut straight to his chops.

Believe it or not, there were only three minor penalties among them, two of which went to Carolina’s Nic Deslauriers.
So Greig got away with this on-ice incident, but he could still face a possible suspension and almost certain fine.

The Senators lost this game 4-2, ending their season, and the Canes will face the winner of the Flyers-Penguins series, which Philadelphia had a chance to win on Saturday night.
However, if Greig is suspended – which I think he definitely deserves – he will have to serve his suspension at the start of next season.
