Metro Bank suffers glitch as customers claim to see negative balances

Metro Bank suffered great problems in payment services and some customers could not send or receive money.
Several users claimed that their payments were copied and some people said they left negative balances in their accounts as a result of a disruption on Tuesday morning.
A customer wrote to X: “Why did I copy minus and waiting fees?”
Another wrote: “They have entered the banking application to find the waiting transactions approved and removed, and they say they still mean that I have paid twice.”
Another customer complained about the X, “This has taken my money and suffered me excessively. This is a great discomfort. Please guide me about how to correct it,” he said.
Other customers, hundreds of pounds, claiming to disappear from their accounts allowed to access their money.
On Tuesday morning, about 100 reports were made on the Downdector website.
Although the problem has been resolved at the moment, Metro Bank said that there are still delays in the processing of payments.
Metro Bank said on the website: uz We are currently having problems with our payment services, so it may take longer to send money to other accounts. We are trying to correct it as quickly as possible and apologize for the discomfort that it may cause. ”
The bank also said that it has received many calls, so there are delays for telephone banking.
A Metro Bank spokesman said: ık We had a short delay that had happened at the beginning of this morning and affected the outgoing payments. This has been solved and customers can pay as usual now.
“Some customers can see delays while processing these previous payments, we give priority to it and we work hard to minimize the effect. We apologize for any discomfort.”
