Over one lakh devotees gather to witness Kancheepuram temple car festival

More than one lakh devotees witnessed the temple chariot festival Rathotsavam of Sri Devarajaswamy Perumal temple in Kancheepuram on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The Lord was accompanied by his wives Sridevi and Bhoodevi. The festival was organized as a part of Vaikasi Brahmotsavam.

Hindu Religious and Charity Minister S. Ramesh along with Ministers K. Thennarasu and R. V. Ranjithkumar and Kancheepuram District Collector D. Sneha participated in the towing of the car. Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal, Pope of Sri Sankara Mutt had darshan of Rathotsavam at Raja Veethi.
