Believeland erupts: Guardians’ miracle rally rekindles Cleveland fan spirit

NEWNow you can listen to FOX News articles!

Baseball history was made by Cleveland Guardians. Detroit Tigers (87-75) directed the Guardians (88-74) with 9.5 matches on September 10 (Cleveland 17), but Cleveland finished 14-3.

At some point in July, 15.5 matches were held behind the tigers, and Cleveland’s return was the greatest since the episode came to MLB in 1969. The previous record was 15 matches to Yankees to go to the Eastern section of the American League in 1978. It was a remarkable September for the Guardians, it’s really a kind. (And for the tigers, even though the opposite.)

Cleveland will host Detroit in the top three series of game series that starts a little after 13:00 today. The second game (and one -third if necessary will start at the same time and in the same place.)

The tigers wear the playoff dock after the end of the season, but Al Central Crown is still unstable

So yes, we Guardians fans are quite excited. The old names, “Indians” and the old names, tribal – and muscle memory, calling me with my old names, and sometimes I use the old name and the name.

But I cheer up for clubs, not for nicknames. So is the majority of Cleveland fans. Scroll in the comments. I don’t care. Guardians are still home to the tigers, today starting at 13.00 from the Progressive Field in Cleveland’s Carnegie and Ontario. Tom Hamilton (“Hammy”) will look for games and here is the best. Terry Pluto will write about games on Cleveland.com with Paul Hoynes and Joe Noga and perhaps Jimmy Watkins. Northeast Ohio takes professional clubs very seriously, so local news organizations devote resources to the fan base and the wide diaspora of Cleveland supporters, not because of the political debate in the Cuyahoga district.

Aside from: I met my wife in the autumn of 1978, then don’t collect a donation for San Diego Mayor Pete Wilson. For decades, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Indian/Guardians have been endured for decades since then. In those years, he became a championship in those years (Cavs gained a striking sadness against Golden State Warriors in 2016), so the sports widows and widows of the last half century shook hands. Your partner will at least be a little crazy again this week. And support yourself. You know the dark clouds landed and they last for a few days. But maybe this is not autumn!

Cleveland has not won a world series in my life, in the last 1948 he is doing it. They approached in 1995, 1997 and 2016, but Close does not take you a ring. (They won them all in 1920 and lost in 1954, but I am indifferent to the victories of 1920 and 1948 because I didn’t have to watch the collapse of 1954.)

Browns never went to Super Bowl. They last won the NFL championship in 1964. Cavs is pretty good right now, but without LeBron James, they’ve never won all of them. So there are skeptics. However, there may be two championships in the cycle. (Browns, rookie qbs dillon Gabriel or Shadur Sanders have no miraculous emergence.)

Ohio State University, 1968, 1970, 2002, 2014, and after the last 2024 normal season, the last time, for the first time in the history of sports, managing the gauuntlet of four Playoff match, claiming national championships in college football. They could even repeat.

But professional sports in Cleveland? It has been a desert with an oasis for 50 years.

This is a long way to explain that if the run of your colleagues (and perhaps longer) guards this week, there may be changes in mood. Usually you may not know that they are from Ohio, even if they tell you. And as long as the “guardian ball” continues, we will definitely tell you this week and beyond.

Cleveland has the best fan base of the country and the longest suffering. This is October. We couldn’t believe in September. But this month is too much Believand.
