Padma Shri Awardee former swimmer Bula Chowdhury said that thieves stole medals and memories from their ancestors’ ancestors in the Hooghly region of the West Bengal.
Ms. Chowdhury said she had lost everything she has won all her life.

The former swimmer claimed that thieves had played all memories, but Arjuna rewarded the award and Tenzing Norgay medals.
“They probably did not recognize the Arjuna Award and Tenzing Norgay medals because they were smaller.”
Ms. Chowdhury claimed that there was a third theft in the Hindmotor residence under the lock and key and visited the property periodically.
The house of Ms. Chowdhury’s ancestors, who is currently living in Kasba’s Kasba region, is looked at by her brother Milon Chowdhury, who lives a little further away and sometimes visits to control.
Police, “Holiday on the Day of Independence, Milon, went home to clean the instructions of his sister. At the entrance, broke the back door and shocked that the rooms were searched.” He said.
After receiving news, Mrs. Chowdury, who ran from Kalcutta to Uttarpara, remembered that thefts had already occurred and claimed that there was no appropriate investigation despite the police complaints.
“Why do they get medals? They can’t get money for them. They are treasures of my life, the fruits of my career. My house is targeted every time because it remains empty.” He said.
A senior police officer said the police launched an investigation into the incident.
