CCTV footage captured the moment a thief stole a bag containing a Faberge egg and a watch set worth £2.2 million from a London bar.

Enzo Conticello, 29, of no fixed address, took the £1,600 Givenchy bag belonging to Rosie Dawson in the smoking area of the Dog and Duck bar in Soho on November 7, 2024.

Inside were an emerald-encrusted Faberge egg and watch belonging to her employers at the Craft Irish Whiskey Company, as well as Ms. Dawson’s personal belongings.

Southwark Crown Court heard Conticello said he saw the bag as “easy money” and gave it to buy drugs.

On Thursday, April 9, Conticello, also known as Hakin Boudjenoune, was sentenced to two years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to fraud by false representation and one count of theft in February.
