Paredes red card mars Spain’s extra time World Cup win over Argentina

Spain’s thrilling FIFA World Cup victory over Argentina in extra time was marred by a post-match brawl involving Leandro Paredes and Eric García.

The aggressive tackling and slapstick of the Argentinian side led to a clash between the two teams. Paredes was seen approaching the post-match fight between the players of the two countries and putting his hand on García’s throat.

After the whistle, Paredes received a red card and was sent off. He also received a yellow card during the match for making a rough tackle shortly after entering the match.

Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni was stopped by the Spaniard while yelling at someone. Nicolas Otamendi exchanged ideas with many Spanish players, including Rodri.
