Parents Queue Up For Admission At Nalgonda Govt School

Nalgonda: Parents in Nalgonda are taking action to enroll their children there after Komatireddy Pratheek Reddy Government High School at Bottuguda in Nalgonda shifted to a new building with modern facilities. Spread over an area of 2,500 square meters, the new building consists of 36 air-conditioned classrooms, digital whiteboards, an Artificial Intelligence computer laboratory, smart teaching and a digital library.
The building was constructed by Komatireddy Pratheek Reddy Foundation with Rs 8 crore. The school was named after Pratheek Reddy, son of Roads and Works Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who died in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road in December 2011.
The school has 250 students and 350 more students will be admitted this academic year. Principal Ramakrishna said 3,000 applications were received for admission. He said students will be selected based on merit.
