Asia-Pacific markets will open lower on Friday following a weak Wall Street session.

Australia’s ASX/S&P 200 lost 0.23% in early trading.

Hong Kong futures Hang Seng Index It marked a lower open, trading at 25,900 compared to the index’s previous close of 25,935.9.

Japan’s reference point Nikkei 225 The index will open lower, with the futures contract in Chicago trading at 50,670 and its counterpart in Osaka at 50,590, versus the index’s last close of 51,028.42.

Investors will keep an eye on the upcoming interest rate decision of the Reserve Bank of India.

Three major averages traded mixed overnight in the US. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose slightly as investors braced for the Fed’s interest rate decision next week.

While the broad-based index closed at 6,857.12 with a 0.11% increase, Nasdaq Composite was traded at 23,505.14 with a 0.22% increase. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell just 31.96 points (0.07 percent) to 47,850.94.
