Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Thursday, July 23, 2026, accused the Opposition of adding “pre-conditions” and trying to evade the debate on the NEET document ‘leak’ issue. He added that the government also wants to put forward its own perspective on the issue. Later in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a video message posted on social media late at night, promised that the government will discuss the NEET documents leaks in the Cabinet meeting on Friday (July 24) and introduce a bill in Parliament next week.

As per the revised backlog, the Lok Sabha is expected to witness a debate on the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026 for consideration and passage. The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is also scheduled to deliver a series of critical reports.
