Striking Queensland teachers descend on Parliament House; All schools remain open, department says; Education Minister defends wage offer

Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek, at a press conference this morning, said in a statement with the supervision of the students, Queensland said there was no closed school.

However, Lanbroek said that if any school needs to be closed, the students will be kept safe.

Approximately 50,000 Queensland public school teachers were expected to supervise today, but no lessons – but no lessons – including assistant teachers.

“If there were (closing), there is a real chain of command,” Langbroek said.

“This means that regional directors and school supervisors work with the school to ensure the safety of their children.

“As we did during the tropical cyclone Alfred, there must be communication to make sure that parents are informed.

“So before the parents were allowed to be gathered, they would all be held in place.”
