Parties Gear Up for Celebrations Ahead of Kerala Assembly Election Results

Malappuram / Kochi: With the counting of votes for the Kerala, Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Puducherry assembly elections scheduled for Monday, political parties have already started preparations for possible victory celebrations amid confident bets based on exit poll predictions.
In Kerala’s Malappuram district, Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) workers in Pandikkad reportedly prepared biryani for around 5,000 people. Party leaders said 16 large cooking pots were arranged and a large tent was erected to distribute food and host the celebrations. They expressed confidence that UDF will deliver a strong performance in the region.
Meanwhile, in Kochi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are preparing for celebrations by ordering hundreds of laddoos and organizing cultural programmes. The party expressed optimism about opening accounts in the state and winning key constituencies like Nemom, Kazhakkoottam, Manjeshwar, Palakkad and Thrissur.
Exit poll predictions point to a close contest in Kerala, with some predicting a possible shift in power. The ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, faces the prospect of a tough fight after serving two consecutive terms.
Meanwhile, authorities have tightened security arrangements at counting centers in states where results are scheduled to be announced.
