Partner of Mullewa fugitive makes plea for her ‘sexy bush critter’ to come home
Fugitive Kenneth Giles’ partner pleaded for him to come home after he allegedly shot her in the hand at their Mullewa home two weeks ago.
Giles, 58, remains at large despite tactical response officers descending on the Mid West town, 445 kilometers north of Perth, following reports of an active shooter incident on January 7.
His partner Tanya Moran made a statement 9News Perth On Monday.
“BIG HAPPY HOLIDAYS to Kenneth Jon Giles, aka my sexy bush pet,” he said in the statement.
“Six years ago we were too old to be each other’s first, but no matter how old we are, we have been lucky enough to share many firsts together.
“We swore we would stay together forever and grow very embarrassingly old together, no doubt amusing ourselves by embarrassing all our children along the way.
“You are so loved that not only me but also many family and friends need to know that you are okay.
“WFT baby, please come home or reach me? So where the hell are you, love?”
“This wild woman [sic] This thing needs its tough, sexy bush beast to come home, its Buzz to come back, you promised infinity and beyond, remember.”
Mullewa residents were not afraid of Giles and were surprised to hear of his alleged involvement in the shooting. 9News Perth reported.
Earlier this month WA Police spokesman Neil Vanderplank described Giles as a “very skilled bushman” who was likely still based in the Mid-West.
“[We are once again pleading with] “I would like to ask that Kenneth Giles identify himself to the police…so we can bring this matter to a close as safely as possible for himself and the community,” he said.
Vanderplank confirmed police are treating the investigation as a domestic violence incident and officers have since seized several firearms. However, Giles is not a registered firearm owner.
Moran underwent surgery at Royal Perth Hospital following the attack.
Police believe Giles was traveling in a White Nissan Patrol vehicle with registration number 1BIY336.
Anyone who sees Giles is asked to call triple zero and not approach him.
