Passengers onboard plane that plummeted into the East River are identified after making miracle escape from the jaws of death

A seaplane carrying eight people crashed into the East River in New York City in front of thousands of anxious onlookers.
The New York Fire Department said the Kodiak 100 single-engine turboprop made a hard landing in the water, but everyone on board was rescued safely.
Two of them were 16-year-old Khloe Todd and her grandmother, 75-year-old Ada Todd, who came to celebrate the birthday of one of Ada’s friends in the Hamptons.
‘The aircraft remains upright in the water and is being towed back to port. The FDNY said eight civilians were removed from the aircraft by FDNY units.
‘Two civilians with minor injuries are being assessed by emergency services.’
New Yorkers filmed the plane hitting choppy water and partially capsizing, and rescue boats scrambling to help passengers on the stricken plane.
Passengers and crew were seen being evaluated by ambulances near the entrance to FDR Drive after being brought to shore.

The plane was flying from East Hampton Town on Long Island and departed at 10:38 a.m., according to flight data.
Blade Air told the Daily Mail the hard landing was likely caused by rough water from passing boats and a storm on Saturday night.
A source from the company said: ‘There were many ferries around and the wind may have blown in at the last moment.’
‘The waves they create can cause problems when you try to land on the water.’
Blade said the impact cracked one of the struts connecting the pontoons to the plane’s fuselage, which damaged one of the pontoons.
The flight was operated by Acadian Seaplanes on behalf of Blade.
According to records, the aircraft was manufactured in 2022 and was registered to Del Air Sky with tail number N555NL.

After everyone on board was helped, the plane was righted and towed to the dock near 23rd Street.
About 20 minutes after the passengers were helped disembark, they received their bags and were loaded into cars to their final destination, Blade said.
The hard landing will be investigated by the NYPD and the Federal Aviation Administration.
East Hampton is one of the wealthiest areas on Long Island and a popular destination for the rich and famous to spend their summers.
There’s a lot more going on in the Hamptons now for the Fourth of July weekend and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding last Friday.
