Patriots’ Drake Maye ties mark set by Tom Brady in win over Titans

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has helped reignite fans’ hopes through the first seven weeks of the 2025 season.
Maye’s performance against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday certainly raised those expectations. He was 21-of-23 for 222 passing yards, two touchdowns and a 135.9 passer rating as the Patriots won the game 31-13. He was sacked four times but never turned the ball over.

The Patriots announced after the game that Maye had matched Tom Brady’s feat. The team said Maye is tied with Brady for the most games with at least 200 passing yards, a 135 passing rating and two passing touchdowns in a single season with four passing touchdowns.
Maye had already achieved this feat in his second year and in 20 games. Brady reached this milestone in his NFL career in 2007. Brady reached his goal in Week 11 of that season.

Maye connected to seven different receivers. Stefon Diggs had seven catches for 69 yards. Kashon Boutte and Austin Hooper each caught touchdown passes.
New England improved to 5-2 this season and sits one ahead of the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
