Pauline vs GetUp and Gina’s Israel Plan | Scam of the Week

Welcome to Scam of the Week and we had a crowded field this week.

Pauline Hanson eventually made it to the National Press Club, where she had the opportunity to talk about journalists in the country, journalists in the country. GetUp took down a banner in the middle of her speech, Pauline’s supporters threw a fit and somehow the AFP quickly got involved. A scandal? A fiasco? Is it a club issue? Make your choice.

But while the Press Club was raging, Gina Rinehart was in Townsville, thanking Pauline for freeing land for Israeli defense production. Don’t worry about first-home buyers wanting land. It looks like weapons, domes and synergies are the priority.

Then there was Sky News, which tried to tell its viewers that the Gaza flotilla activists were Hamas-linked, as Penny Wong announced an AFP investigation into allegations of mistreatment of Australians by Israeli forces in international waters.

And just when you thought the field was full, KPMG came along and warned parliament not to lie from the start. Call us old fashioned, but most people learned this when they were about four years old.
