PDC World Darts Championship 2026: Cameron Menzies punches drinks table after loss to Charlie Manby

Cameron Menzies punched the drinks table in anger following his five-set defeat to highly-rated Charlie Manby in the first round of the PDC World Championship.
Scotland’s 26th seed hit bottom of the table three times and then raised his hand to apologize to Alexandra Palace fans as he left the stage.
Menzies, 36, was photographed bleeding from a cut on his right hand.
England forward Manby, 20, led 1-0 and 2-1 in sets before hitting back and sealing victory with a seventh match dart.
Commenting on the next match for Sky Sports, former Premier League champion Glen Durrant said: “Charlie Manby is a superstar in the making. Sometimes you can develop a player at 20. We thought it would be the game of the afternoon and we did it.
“But it wasn’t the ending we all wanted to see. For Cameron Menzies, I think he’ll regret it for the rest of his life. It wasn’t a good watch.”
Co-commentator Stuart Pyke added: “I agree, [it was] It’s an extraordinary reaction, but we saw him walk off stage and he raised his hand to apologize. It was a spur of the moment event.
Players may be subject to sanctions under Darts Regulatory Authority rules for offensive, disruptive or abusive behavior.
Menzies, who broke down in tears during and after his debut against Leonard Gates last December, was eliminated in the first round for the second consecutive year.
Menzies later revealed that his father Ricky was ill in hospital at the time and He spoke before this tournament, external about his uncle’s recent death.
