Peckham stabbing: Man dies outside London nightclub as four arrested in murder investigation

A man has been stabbed to death with two other men fighting for their lives in hospital following a stabbing outside a south London nightclub on the Easter weekend.

The Metropolitan Police said officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics were called to reports of a disturbance in Ruby Street, Peckham, at 3.54am on Monday morning and found the man with stab wounds.

“Despite the intervention of emergency teams, the man died at the scene.

“His relatives have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers,” police said.

Later on Monday, four men, one aged 18 and three aged 24, were arrested on suspicion of murder and all remained in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, who led the Met’s murder investigation, said: “This is an extremely tragic incident and our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.

“We have already arrested four people and our investigation is continuing apace.

“We are aware of the concern that this will lead to local residents and those in the area noticing an increased police presence throughout the day.

“This attack took place outside a busy nightclub and we would encourage anyone with any information, dashcam or mobile phone footage that could support the investigation to contact us.”
