Peddapalli Cong. MLA Slams Harish Rao For Misleading People

Karimnagar: Peddapalli MLA Ch. Vijayaramana Rao on Thursday criticized BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao, accusing him of making misleading statements against the State government.

Addressing a press conference, Vijayaramana Rao alleged that Harish Rao was trying to blame the government for the growing public support for the Congress.

He said that following good rains, significant input had come into irrigation projects across the state in the last two years. He also stated that the state recorded high cultivation of paddy and maize during this period.

The MLA alleged that the earlier proposed Thummidihutti-Chevella project was redesigned by the previous government to suit its interests. He also claimed that the Kaleshwaram project, built at a cost of ₹1 lakh crore during the BRS regime, was damaged within two years.

He also criticized the design of the project, stating that water was lifted and returned to the same river, and alleged misuse of public funds to build dams in Godavari.

Vijayaramana Rao requested Harish Rao to explain the reasons for the damage reported in the Kaleshwaram project.
