Pedestrian killed after crash in Mount Waverley

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Melbourne’s southeast.

Police said the man was shot on Stephensons Road, near Griffiths Court in Mount Waverley, at around 9.20pm on Thursday.

Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the man, but he died at the scene.

He has not yet been officially identified.

While the driver and his passenger were uninjured, they were stopped to help the police.

An investigation was launched by the police.
