Pedro Rubiolo: Bristol Bears hand Argentina lock ‘long-term’ deal

Bristol Bears forward Pedro Rubiolo has signed a new “long-term” contract with the Prem club.

The 23-year-old Argentine lock arrived from Newcastle Red Bulls on a three-year deal in 2024 and has now agreed a contract extension.

Rubiolo has made three appearances for the Bears this season, helping them sit fifth in the standings after seven games.

“We are absolutely delighted that Pedro has chosen to commit his long-term future to the Bears,” director of rugby Pat Lam said.

“Although he is only 23 years old, he is already one of the best second rows in global football.

“His impact since arriving at Bristol has been outstanding and he has quickly gained the respect of his team-mates and everyone at the club.

“His physicality and work rate are clearly visible, but his relentless competitiveness is equally impressive. Pedro fights for everything, both in matches and in training, and his attitude sets him apart.
