‘People will vote for good governance’: Union Minister Piyush Goyal ahead of second phase of WB Polls

Expressing confidence in voter turnout, he added that the people of West Bengal will make a careful decision while voting. “I have full confidence that our brothers and sisters in West Bengal will vote very thoughtfully when they go to the polls tomorrow to decide their future,” Goyal said.
He stated that voters will also take their recent experiences into consideration when making their choices. “Naturally, considering the chaos they have experienced in recent years, they will vote for a good government and good people and ensure the victory of a good government.”
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has deployed a large number of its teams across West Bengal ahead of the second phase of polls as part of precautionary measures to ensure a peaceful election process and to be able to respond quickly to any untoward situation.
“The agency has intensified its presence as part of the precautionary measures taken to ensure a peaceful election process. NIA teams are deployed on the ground to quickly respond to any adverse situation that may arise before, during or after the polling,” officials said. he said.
Voting for the second phase of West Bengal Assembly elections will be held on April 29 and votes will be counted on May 4.
The Union Minister also talked about the transformation of Varanasi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and highlighted the developments in the last decade.

Speaking about the progress made by the city, Goyal said, “The development we have seen in Varanasi in the last 12 years is magnificent. The image of Varanasi has completely changed.”
He added that the development of the city will continue faster in the coming years. “Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Varanasi’s development journey will progress even faster,” he said.
