Pep Guardiola leaves: Man City confirm manager’s exit after 10 years

Manchester City It has been confirmed that manager Pep Guardiola will leave the club after the final match of the season on Sunday.

Guardiola led City to 15 major trophies; This includes six Premier League titles in 10 top-flight seasons.

The 55-year-old football player will play his last match against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.

BBC Sport reported on Monday that City are preparing for Guardiola to leave a year before the end of his contract.

“Don’t ask me why I left,” Guardiola said. “There’s no reason, but deep down I know this is my time.

“Nothing is forever, if it were I would be here. The feelings, the people, the memories and the love I have for Manchester City will be eternal.”

Former Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca, who worked under Guardiola at City, is among the candidates to replace the 55-year-old football player.

During his 10 years at City, Guardiola guided City to 17 major trophies and 20 trophies in total, including six Premier League titles, the Champions League, three FA Cups and five EFL Cups.
