Perth-based Indonesia Institute founder Ross Taylor issues warning to travellers over Bali visa scams

There are a lot of online visa scams in Bali.
The Perth-based Indonesia Institute recently confirmed what we reported.
Founder Ross Taylor says: “There are now a number of websites designed to resemble the official site of the Indonesian Government.
“Inevitably, they will charge a much higher fee for the visa on arrival, which should cost no more than $50 and, disturbingly, up to $80 for the customs declaration and arrival form, which should be issued free of charge.”
He adds: “Passengers traveling to Bali should be careful to fill out both the visa on arrival form and the customs arrival declaration before departure.
“The official website that tourists from WA should use is: allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id.”
Or use the Australian Government’s Smart Traveler website for the correct link to the Indonesian Government site – smartraveller.gov.au
