Perth fuel prices about to jump

Perth motorists looking for a bargain will make the most of prices at bowser today ahead of tomorrow’s big price increases.

Fuel in Western Australia today has been the cheapest price all year, averaging $1.48 per litre, but this is set to change.

Starting tomorrow, the federal government’s fuel excise tax will be halved from 32 cents per liter to 16 cents per liter; This will add an extra $10 per tank.

There will be some relief for WA motorists as the state’s $100 fuel payment can be claimed via the ServiceWA app from tomorrow.
