PHC doctors to continue their strike, no headway in talks

Basic Health Center (PHC) doctors decided to continue their strikes on Tuesday due to the inability to make any progress during the negotiations with Saurabh Gaur.
Andhra Pradesh Basic Health Centers Members of the Association of Doctors, the secretary, said they gave them a 20 %quota guarantee in diploma classes on clinical issues. However, for the next five years, no definite decision was made on the main demands of a 20 %quota for primary health care doctors in clinical branches of graduate (PG) courses for the next five years. According to the representatives of the association, Mr. Gaur initially proposed a 15 %quota for five years, but did not finalize the offer. Vinod Kumar, a spokesman for the association attended the meeting, “No progress in negotiations with the government. We will continue the strike,” he said.
Meanwhile, several doctors from regional and regional hospitals throughout the state participated in a strike on Tuesday for solidarity with the demands of PHC doctors.
