The man who was stabbed to death during a brutal attack at a skate park, leaving a teenager fighting for his life, has been named and photographed for the first time.
Mason Miller, 20, was fatally stabbed during the incident at Briar Hill Skate Park in Northampton around 3:30pm on February 18.
Another stabbing victim, 17, suffered ‘life-changing’ injuries and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Emergency services were called at around 3.45pm to reports that two men had been stabbed ‘during an argument’, but despite efforts Mr Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
Seven people from Northampton were arrested in connection with the incident during a ‘complex and fast-moving investigation’.
Four young men, aged 17, 16, 15 and 14, were arrested on suspicion of murder, while a 35-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
As part of the wider police investigation, two 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old youth appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.
They were released on conditional bail and placed in the custody of the local authority.

The cordon is expected to remain in place while police continue their investigation.
Chief Inspector Kim Jackson said Northamptonshire Police was carrying out house-to-house investigations and visibility patrols to provide reassurance and support to the community.
Police have encouraged any witnesses, anyone with information, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage to contact ‘urgently’.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Matt Bly, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU), said this remained a fast-moving investigation with a number of lines of inquiry being pursued by detectives.
He said: ‘This remains a murder investigation and our thoughts are first and foremost with Mason’s family at this difficult time.
‘The family are understandably still trying to come to terms with Wednesday’s tragic events and therefore request complete privacy at this time.’
DI Bly added: ‘We are continuing to work on a number of fronts to piece together what happened and establish who is responsible.
‘Public cooperation will be key in this matter and I urge anyone with information, including CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage, to contact the Force urgently.’
