Pinarayi Vijayan Mourns Demise of Filmmaker Bhagyaraj

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday condoled the demise of veteran Tamil film producer, actor and screenwriter K Bhagyaraj, describing him as an extraordinary talent who left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. In his condolence message, Vijayan said that Bhagyaraj created a unique place in the film industry with his unique storytelling and unforgettable performances.
He said the filmmaker has won the hearts of family audiences with his films inspired by rural life, featuring natural humor and engaging narratives. He added that Bhagyaraj has proven his talent in literature as well as cinema.
Vijayan said that Bhagyaraj was appreciated not only by the Tamil audience but also by film lovers in Kerala with his acclaimed works.
“Bhagyaraj’s death is an irreparable loss to the film industry and the cultural sphere,” he said and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family, friends and fans of the veteran filmmaker.
Bhagyaraj, 73, died in Chennai on Saturday following cardiac arrest.
