U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro has revealed insights into the personal life of the suspect in connection with the pipe bombs planted in Washington, D.C., and what the FBI found at his home on “The Ingraham Angle.”
Federal authorities arrested 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr. of Virginia Thursday morning after a nearly five-year investigation involving “millions of pieces of data.”
“This is a guy who has a pretty simple life. He lives with his mother,” Pirro told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
“He always had his headphones on. He would take his dog out. He would go to 7-Eleven. He was very low-key and low-profile,” he added.

“He’s such a quiet person that you’d never imagine he could put together a pipe bomb,” Pirro said.
Cole is suspected of planting two pipe bombs near the headquarters of the RNC and DNC on Jan. 6, 2021, as thousands of rioters moved toward the Capitol several blocks away to protest the 2020 election results.
Surveillance footage released by the FBI shows a suspect planting two explosive devices near buildings in Washington, D.C.
“The cell phone makes a high-pitched sound that connects the video we have to the defendant walking in that area,” Pirro said.
The explosives found by law enforcement hours later were determined by the FBI to be “viable devices that could be detonated, resulting in serious injury or death.”

Cole was under surveillance by authorities before his arrest, Pirro said.
“He was a very low-key person that you would never expect — he wasn’t on a lot of social media,” she told Fox News.
Cole remains in federal custody on charges of using explosives, but more may be added, authorities said.
Speaking to Fox News, Pirro said, “His closest friends are his family. He lives with his mother and sisters. He would go to work a few hours a day. His father had a bail company.”

He described what police officials found when they searched the suspect’s home Thursday morning.
“They found a lot of other products and parts for pipe bombs,” Pirro said.
“He was in it, he was in it.”

He said Cole had been purchasing bomb-making materials since 2019.
Pirro praised the Trump administration for “reviving” the investigation and accused Biden’s team of not prioritizing it.
“This case was resolved because President Trump and this administration made it a priority,” he said. “The well-being of any society depends on whether people feel safe. And when we hold the criminal accountable – and we will – people feel safe, and that’s what we did.”
